Zoovlarkian loves his snapping and really likes to dance. He also drives a sherbet truck where he hands out tasty treats to all he sees. People from far and wide hear his snapping and flock to his truck.

Gurtly Tobagins mother was a hedgehog and father was a spider monkey. This strange combination left Gurtly with sticky eyes that stretch real far, perfect for catching flies and picking bananas! She also has super strength resilient skin, making her almost indestructible. She has a hobby of competitive parachute testing, the more faults found the better!

Blargo is a four legged spider. Why you ask? Because he traded the other four legs for teeth. Instead of eating soft bugs and critters with fangs, he enjoys chomping bark and twigs. He is a harmless little guy and loves to give hugs. Just don't startle him, as he's easily confused!

Crodie was once like every other rabbit, hopping around, eating lettuce, until one day he came across a mysterious river. It was glowing bright green and smelled like cookies. He took a sip and and out of the water splashed a beastly man with fairy wings. The man screamed "NO ONE DRINKS MY TOILET WATER!" and cast a spell on Crodie that lasts until this very day. He's turned bright blue, but Crodie wears this as a badge of honor for being the only bunny brave enough to drink the hidden waters. Available HERE

Grubz comes from a class of viking Cthulhu up high in the mountains for Toutat. His land is covered in snow, so he has a thick coat of fur to protect him from the elements. He is well known in the community as the town flame juggler. Grubz is beloved by all for bringing much entertainment and heating up town square for a bit every night. Some of his favorite things to do are marshmallow roasting with his buddies and sleeping on logs. Available HERE

Frobut was formed in a dark cavern hundreds of feet below the surface of the earth. Over thousands of years pieces of chewed up bubblegum trickled down through a small stream and clumped together on the side of a rock. After obtaining life force through a mysteriously bearded wizard, Frobut went about the earth showing people how to eat as much sugar as possible without getting the hurls. In his spare time he enjoys bartering and going for afternoon dips in hot steamy swamps.

Now that you've met Frobut I got a big announcement for you guys!

I've started to make casted resin monsters in all shapes and sizes! This helps me make art for my shop much more smoothly and I'll have a TON more items in my shop soon. I'm utlra psyched for this. I'll have magnets, pins, small action figure type monsters, big doll monsters all hand painted in different colors so you'll have a wide selection of lovable creatures to choose from!

This will be the biggest improvement to my shop yet and I'm so excited to be working hard to bring this to you!

Klonk & Keemle

Klonkin Jan the radioactive werewolf lives in high mountaintops with blustery cold winds. He was adopted by a family of zombies when he was small. He spends his days as a master chef preparing brain soup and seasoning moon-pies with just the right amount of frosting. When he's not being a source of tasty treats, you'll often see him driving his van up the sides of tall trunks where he camps out in the tree tops for a few days.

Keemle Futs kind lives between the toes of other monsters. He chews away the scummy dirt and shines up paws until they're sparkling fresh. Keemle can reflate to microscopic sizes to avoid being crushed. He can also breathe under water, in case his host needs to go for a swim! His favorite activities are being sticky and brushing his teeth.

Goonger Fard and Tup Tup the Wiggletuff

Goonger Fard is a gate keeper of a majestic lake. It's his job to make sure no clowns enter, for clowns leave lard in the lake. It's Goongers job to pump the remaining lake lard out so nematodes can frolic there freely. When Goonger isn't lake saving he's playing hopscotch and judging national jump roping championships.

Tup Tup the Wiggle Tuff is a space famous fashion designer. He designs shirts with built-in parachutes and shoes with build-in trampolines. He enjoys collecting hair gel and sucking filling out of donuts. He moves with wonderful grace and flutters his face gills like a seahorse.

Doctor Shroot Loot

Shroot Loot is a doctor of incredible skill. He has the ability to banish parasites from the sick. All he asks for in payment is a chunk of cheese. Shroot Loot is made of cheese and he gets a little moldy every once in a while. To make sure he's fresh and dandy, cheese is what he needs!

Obis Cobis is bald from a sewer accident. Obis job is to slide around sewer pipes and retrieves lost items. On one faithful day, he slithered past some land gnomes who cast a spell on him..POW! all of his fluff, gone! He moved to a warm island where he can wear bikinis all year long, doesn't need fur and swims the days away!

Choto Nug was like every other flamingo, grazing along the water with his flamingo pals. That was until he had a revelation, he decided to become a dream wizard. He would poke and pride at the other flamingos in their sleep, trying to cast spells on their dreams. Flamingos like their privacy, and they thought Choto was way too yappy, so they slapped him away.

One day a pirate ship sailed by and Choto sneaked on board. He sneaked into the Captain Crust's bed and began chanting his spell. The other pirates heard this and took the intruder to walk the plank!

However just as Choto was about to meet his end, Captain Crust stopped them, exclaiming that he had just had the best dream he ever had after years of nightmares! Choto was hired to be the ships official Wizard and began their journey across the seas.

Here's a new monster story <3

Teblet Eck is a guard dog of sacred scrolls. These scrolls tell of where the leprechauns are having their next cheese grading ceremony. The location is a secret that only leprechauns can know. If you get near Teblet and his scroll, he will bite your face! In his free time he enjoys dancing to techno and sharpening his claws.

On my travels of insanity I'm meeting all kinds of new pals. Here are some dudes and dudettes who've told me their story.

Cremella Norlax is a mystical mummy born 16 thousand years ago. Each night she creeps into someones sleep and makes them dream their teeth fall out! Her daughter Engolbird has grown to become the tooth fairy. Cremella enjoys brushing her wig and sucking on pine cones.

Oon Gargin is a space traveler from planet Ectoo he travels though the galaxies in a hot air balloon. He enjoys learning about new lifeforms and rock formations. His best friend is a giant centipede named Marvo who accompanies him in many missions. Together they make cheese and carve wooden prosthetic legs.

Vingley Teng is a scruffer monster who lives in a chicken coop. After wandering the earth for a place to call home, he fell in love with a hen named Myrtle and he set out to live the life of a rooster. He can see in the dark due to his glowing eyeballs and loves harvesting coconuts from the tops of palm trees in the moonlight.

Eplet Awk is a sassy lady. She's a rare species of reptilian ostrich. She loves to screech out melodies on high mountain tops. She often parties in caves dwellings with her dragon pals, fist pumping the day away.

The monsters in this shop are adorable bright and cheerful with a touch of strange. Well crafted and far from the norm. One of my favorite parts about the designs are the use of neon-pastel coloring. This paired with the quirkiness results in a strong visual style.

Great weather!!

Todays weather was too good to be true. Didn't even need a coat today and it's February in Philly.

I love cheese, I think I'm going to make monterey jack my honorary 25th husband.

I love my ceramic technology class. If the whole major was just that, I would have stayed. We're testing glazes now and mine have turned out awesome so far.

I'm making some monster necklaces you can see more at my site I'm also going to start adding magnets and key chains. They're quicker for me to make so you'll have a more selection of art for you guys to choose from. :) There will also be story cards that come along with all the characters, just like my bigger stuff.

My lettuce is growing well. It will be so yummy.

Jersey Shore is a hilarious frickin' show.

Man, I gotta tell you guys, I just had the best first day of class of my entire life. I'm taking a Clay and Puppet Animation class and it's all I EVER wanted!!! We're writing stories, learning how to build puppets, doing stop motion, everything I've ever wanted to do!!! It is insaaaanely cool! Most of the empasis of the class will be on the construction of the puppets, and I've been wondering how to make movable stop motion puppets for years now. If they had a whole major dedicated to this puppet stuff you bet I would have been in it from day 1.

In Progress- New batch of babies!

Here are some new monsters! These guys are about 1/2 painted and then I'll go in with the ink to define the linework. My goal for these is to make at least 1 puppet, 1 plush doll and 1 clay doll for each design. Wha do you think? Which are your favorties? They all have names but I'm keeping those secret for now!

2011 WILL be the best year EVER!

Hey everyone. Hows it going? I'm going to start using this blog as a personal journey blog more often. I will still feature great artists as I come along, but his year I want to focus on my own growth.

This past Fall/Winter has been great. I moved back to Philadelphia where I belong, started my 4th year of university and I'm kicking ass. My teachers don't understand me much, but I try not to piss them off too bad.

Personal art took a backseat to custom orders this winter, keeping up with all the Christmas requests was a challenge!

I dove into the world of sewing!!! My sisters have always been into it but I never thought I could do it. Turns out, I'm pretty dang good AND I love doing it. I am really excited to incorporate fiber art into my monster designs. Now you'll be able to cuddle with my monsters!

My Art Goals for this year are:
-Design LOTS of monsters
-Clay Figures
-Make Plush Toys
-MAKE PUPPETS!!!! (I'm really excited about that one)
-Experiment with putting together some books, collections of my stories/ illustrations.
-Learn more about stop motion animation.
-Make lots of custom orders!

Justin Smith is a hilarious artist, each of his paintings get weirder than the next. In this painting Gilbert looks like a ferocious beast who will rip my face off if he had the chance! But then I see his preppy little outfit with the sweater around his neck and khakis and think "How scary can he possibly be?" I think I've seen Carlton on Fresh Prince of Bel air wear that exact outfit. The prim and proper pose is just icing on the cake!!
